WEST CITY -- Shirley M. Bigham, 79, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family.

 

She was born Sept. 27, 1937, in Benton, the daughter of Jesse and Pauline (Taylor) Sullivan. She married Jack Bigham Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2009.

Survivors include four children, Peggy Fitzpatrick and husband Mike of Benton, Donna Perkins of West City, Jack Bigham Jr. and wife Lydia of Benton and Deon Bankston of Marion; two stepsons, Darrel Bigham of Sesser and Charles Dahmn and wife Rita of Bolivar, Missouri; grandchildren, Michelle, Mike, Scott, Nathan, Triston, Brenah, Brad, Chad, Steven, DeAnna, Angela and Charles; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Suzanne Baker of Benton and Patsy Haney of Aurora; brother, Larry Dale Sullivan of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dennis Lee Keelin; grandson, Greg; son-in-law, Jim Perkins; and brother, Bobby Sullivan.

Mrs. Bigham was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral sevices will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Pastor Rod Joplin officiating. Burial will be in Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
