ROYALTON -- Josephine  Patton, 100, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday,  Dec. 27, 2016, in Fairview Nursing Home and Rehab in Du Quoin.  

  

She was born March 10, 1916, to Joseph and Estelle (Carrell) Perruquet in Franklin County.

Josephine retired as an assembly worker.

  

She was a member of Royalton First Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and had a passion for caring for people.

  

Surivors include her granddaughter, Cynthia Snider and husband Greg of Chester; grandson, Neil Nix and wife Brenda of Royalton; two beloved nieces, Georgia Brewer and Joann Tilley; great-nephew, Rex Tilley; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

  

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Perruquet; mother, Estelle Perruquet; and son, Leo Bryan Nix.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, in Miners Cemetery in Royalton with Pastor Jim Ebbs officiating. Burial will follow.

  

Per Josephine's request, no flowers should be sent; however, memorial contributions to the donor's choice may be made in her honor.
